Dr. Jerry Jampolsky and Dr. Diane Cirincione


Dr. Jerry Jampolsky, an internationally acknowledged proponent of forgiveness and love, and his wife, Dr. Diane Cirincione were selected to receive the Champion of Forgiveness award from the Worldwide Forgiveness Alliance on International Forgiveness Day 2003.  The husband and wife team has published numerous books on love and forgiveness and lecture extensively throughout the world. 


In 1975, he founded the in Tiburon, California.  For 28 years the Center has served Bay Area families facing illness and death, helping them to find peace of mind under the most difficult circumstances.  Forgiveness has been at the heart of the Center’s work.  The Center has been featured on "60 Minutes" and in a documentary film made by Phil Donahue, which won a Peabody Award.


The Center For Attitudinal Healing, the organization founded by Dr. Jampolsky, was also honored as a Champion of Forgiveness. The work done by this organization has been exemplary and the results of its programs are often dramatic. The Center continues to spread its healing throughout the world as over 130 centers around the world have formed to perpetuate its methods and teachings.

The designation of "Hero of Forgiveness, Reconciliation and Peace" is bestowed upon those who have courageously and dramatically stepped forward to demonstrate and exemplify the concept of forgiveness, reconciliation and peace.


These are not necessarily famous people. They are often ordinary people who have chosen to express profound and genuine forgiveness in their personal lives. These people have experienced a transformation as a result of their act or acts of forgiveness and demonstrate how this change continues to manifest over time. Their stories can inspire and motivate ordinary people to act in a similar manner.
