Nguyen van Nghia


????app????Nguyen van Nghia, a former Vietnamese soldier was severely wounded in combat by American soldier, Paul Reed, during the Vietnam conflict. Also, as a result of the repeated bomb blasts of combat, he gradually lost much of his eyesight.


Years later, through a series of fateful events, Mr. Reed and Mr. Nguyen met. In their acknowledgment of the humanity in each of them, Nghia forgave Paul for his wounds. Paul, in turn, helped to bring Nghia to the U.S. for treatment and partial restoration of his eyesight.
